ExpressionEngine 1.6.4 Released

It looks like now that I’m 2 versions behind on my personal site at 1.6.2, it’s time to upgrade to the latest version of ExpressionEngine, 1.6.4. There haven’t been a ton of changes or new features, but some notable things have been done:
- Security and performance of cross site scripting filter – This type of security breach is top of the list and any improvements in this area are welcome
- Sped up CAPTCHA clean up – Useful when getting “Dugg” or other unusually high spikes of traffic
- Modified status checking to be case insensitive
- And more…
All first party add-ons like the Multiple Site Manager, Forums, etc should be updated immediately following this upgrade.

Just applied the update and everything went without any ill effects. Nice.
